initial discussions. at the end of the day obama care is not working well. the website will eventually get up and running at the end of the day. those kind of problems will continue no matter what happens on the budget discussion. our other republicans of your mindset or with many of them tried to do what we saw a few months ago? guest: the sequester is the big issue. that was small budget costs -- what it cuts. -- budget cuts. if we can maintain those cuts, that is a step in the right direction and if we can do something about rolling back obama care, we will see some progress. there are enrollment error stories, talking about the number signing up. what are your concerns on the technical aspect of the website? guest: it is not a failed website, it is a failed health care approach. can washington improve our health care system? they are welcome to. are the white house as they operating with free-market efficiency, i think he admitted that maybe the government should not be running this hold health care system, making those changes. every time the white house signs of a new individual for

: hi. think obama is a little bit nonchalant about health care. if we cannot appeal this lot right now, wait until he gets out of office and then appeal law. too many people are suffering. thank you. host: should someone be fired? rose, are you there? daniel, washington, dc. democrat. what do you think? should the president hold somebody accountable and fire someone? i think the people he would fire, he does not have the executive reach to do. this is a republican chief justice that voted -- that had the swing vote. essentially it is insurance reform. he does not have the reach to fire insurance company executives. moderatelydly, republican health care reform -- it is getting a little bit more insurance for a little but more people. he is trying to exercise measure and judgment to see it follow- through. staying the course and policy is ihis think what he should do. on your point about the politics, that is the headline in the wall street journal. report -- it says later on in the article gavea recent poll republicans a narrow edge on the question of which party voters would like to se

me down and now because of president obama and the afford will care act. basical -- the affordable care act. basically, you have a lot of people ranting and raving about how bad things are, but this is going to be a boom. this is going to be an excitement in terms of people starting their own businesses, getting away from companies that don't treat them right. they can be opportunists and have visions of success for themselves. kudos to president obama, kudos to all those who supported the affordable care act. it is going to get better, and basically, he will go down as a great president. marylandfrom bowie, talking about his extremes. -- his experience. host: could you help explain that? guest: the big picture is that with more people getting insured, more people entering into this insurance marketplace, we are going to have a better balance as a country in terms of our health care costs. right now there is a tendency to think that we don't pay for the uninsured when they go to the hospital. the hospital covers that, or someone else covers that. but really, we pay for that and ter

is that comes down to politics. when president obama was elected, congress started working on the health-care bill that ended up being the affordable care act. they ruled out single-payer from the beginning. no one really put a lot of muscle behind it in congress. among other things, it is fairly obvious to point out that the health-insurance industry is a big powerful industry and they have a lot of employees. to do something like single- payer would disrupt all of that. not to mention, i have been thinking about this since the furor a month ago with plans getting canceled. at least a few million people who got the letters from the insurance companies that they could not keep their insurance from this year into next year and everybody freaked out -- if you did single-payer, literally everybody would get a letter like that. if i were a member of congress i would look at it as 2 million levels -- 2 million letters, and i would wonder what it would be like if it was 170 million or more. our intermediaries in the form of insurance companies, that may add some cost to the equation. one thing that

. how can president obama be a racist when he is trying to provide health care to every american regardless of what ethnicity they are. back to the economy, you said you are optimistic. specifically, why? caller: it is getting better. buts not 100% better it is getting better. the former president, bush, made this economy terrible. now that things are getting better, it is just taking time. the republicans just keep blocking everything obama puts out there. if the republicans learn how to work with the president, maybe things can move much faster. was: do you think it because of government intervention that the economy is getting better you go -- better yet go -- better? republicans learn how to work with the president, they be things will get done faster. there would be faster growth in the economy. host: angela in georgia. from the 31 toso 50 category. deep in southwest georgia. agomember about 15 years when president george w. bush encouraged companies to thin work overseas and to emphasize we should have a service economy. college graduate, i have a degree in certification. i
